چکیده

Abstract The adsorption potential of raw pomegranate peel powder (PMPP) for lead (Pb) ions was investigated via batch mode at varying initial adsorbate concentration, contact time, and adsorbent concentration. PMPP extensively characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersion (EDX), thermogravimetry (TG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses. instrumental characterization results confirmed the presence important functional groups surface texture/morphology that played key roles during ion adsorption. Description experimental equilibrium data by nonlinear Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin–Radushkevich, Temkin isotherm models elaborately presented in study. kinetic were fitted to Pseudo-first-order, Pseudo-second-order, Intra-particle diffusion, Elovich models. model satisfactorily predicted data. Meanwhile, intra-particle diffusion best predicting concentration 150 mg/L, while emerged as fit 300 mg/L This study shows could be efficiently removed powder.

Adsorption Efficiency of Iron Modified Carbons for Removal of Pb(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution

Abstract Introduction: The Lead causes severe damage to several systems of the body, especially to bony tissues. Until now, several low-cost biosorbents have been studied for removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. In the present study, carbonized pomegranate peels modified with Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions and then it was investigated for removal of Pb(II) ions from aqueous solution. ...

Heavy Metals (Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II)) Ions Removal by Modified Jute: Characterization and Modeling

Jute modified has been used for adsorption of Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II) ions over a range ofinitial metal ion concentration. Adsorption process is done in batch mode. Adsorption isotherms ofthe heavy metals on adsorbents prepared were determined and correlated with common isothermequations. It was found that the Freundlich isotherm is better than Langmuir for explaining thebehavior of adsorp...
